At the end of a project the most exciting things for the project team is the project party. For others it is the benefits to be derived from the outcome. For CC Learning it is the opportunity to take stock, sit back and capture lessons from the work completed. The stuff that went well, and the stuff that didn't work so well. And then to make these nuggets of knowledge into learning opportunities.
There are two aspects of lessons from projects; capturing and learning. Capturing usually means a section within a report, summarised for brevity and sanitised for political correctness. Learning is therefore made more difficult and often up to the next person to seek the lessons hidden among the project documentation.
CC Learning uses video and micro learning modules to capture lessons from organisations and turn these into real learning experiences. These learning experiences can be incorporated into an existing learning path and act as an easy accessible resource for future project team members.
Perhaps the team is celebrating success or commiserating because of an early closure, either way lessons should be captured. But not buried in a report somewhere, it should be harnessed and exploited for all the wealth it can give.
“We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery.”
― Samuel Smiles
We can help you capture lessons, we can help you learn from them, never forgetting those things that went well and not repeating those things that failed.
